Green Tench

Green Tench (Tinca Tinca) is one of the most popular coarse fish species in the UK. They are an attractive fish with deep green to almost black colouring dependant on the water conditions. They can achieve good sizes in excess of 14″ in a garden pond and will surface feed during the summer months with other species. Tench are the only native coarse fish that can be sexed visually by the shape of their fins.
